Breaka Boyz are a recent release from the Kill Team game that thrives in melee combat, equipped with devastating weapons like Smash Hammers, Tankhammers, and Knucklebustas. Their synergy with Waaagh! faction abilities, alongside unique tools like Bomb Squigs and Trophy Hunters, re-rolls, position them as specialized vehicle and monster hunters.

Now the Breaka Boyz Tankbustas have a new 40k rules dataslate that you can get here from Games Workshop. With a reasonable points cost and impressive utility, they offer Ork players a targeted answer to high-toughness enemies while still embodying the chaotic flair of the faction.

What Makes The Breaka Boyz Rules Datasheet So Special?

  • Anti-Vehicle and Monster Specialists: Breaka Boyz excel at smashing high-toughness targets with weapons like the Tankhammer (Devastating Wounds) and Smash Hammer.
  • Bomb Squigs: Twice per battle, these deliver D3 mortal wounds to targets within 12″ – a solid area-control tool for pressuring key enemy units.
  • Trophy Hunters: Re-rollable charges make them highly reliable for closing gaps, critical for melee-focused units.

How Does This Tankbustas Rules Datasheet Differ From Other Ork Units?

  • Niche Role: Unlike generalist Ork infantry, Breaka Boyz are built to cripple vehicles and monsters, making them invaluable against armies with heavy armor.
  • Flexible Wargear: Options like Knucklebustas (reliable melee), Tankhammers (high-risk, high-reward), and Rokkit Pistols (limited ranged utility) allow tactical adaptability.
  • Durability: With two wounds per model and 140 points for 6.

Tankbustas are awesome for Ork armies since they focus on taking out vehicles and big monsters. They’ve got a mix of cool weapons to choose from, are pretty tough with two wounds each, and won’t break the bank at 140 points for 6 models.

How to Use Breaka Boyz Effectively

These guys love to krump big’uns so prioritize vehicles, monsters, and high-value assets to maximize the Anti-Vehicle and Anti-Monster rules.

  • Bomb Squig Strategy: Deploy Bomb Squigs early to disrupt enemy positioning or soften a key target before charging. You can use this ability twice and thus you can get some great chip damage in.
  • Positioning and Timing: Keep them covered until the charge phase – they’re strong in melee but vulnerable to focused fire. You only have 6 models, and your opponent might be wise to your tricks. Pair with Waaagh! abilities or Ork characters to boost performance.
