So once again it looks like the White Dwarf team has saved the day, rules wise: and the Tyranids CAN (?) ally with the Genestealer Cult!
So now the Genestealer Cult and by default the Tyranids now get access to psychic scream and Invisibility (just don’t try using the patriarch to cast the scream).
