Get ready for 40k universe combined with the classic Risk board game. GW just previewed their latest project on their Facebook!
First seen on Warhammer 40k’s Facebook, they’ve partnered with The OP to bring us 40k themed Risk in the fall of this year. Here is everything we know about the game so far.
GW Announces 40k RISK Board Game in Fall 2020 LATEST
Soon you’ll be able to conquer the 41st Millennium in a new way with a Warhammer 40,000 edition of the classic strategy game Risk! What do you think of this latest licensed game? Let us know!
On Warhammer 40k’s Facebook, we don’t have a lot of info. In fact, all we have to go on is that the cover of the board game is from Vigilus Ablaze with Abaddon and his dark bois killing off some Primaris.
However, the OP’s Facebook dropped the word that it would actually be here sometime this fall:
The 41st millennium meets the classic game of strategic conquest. Conquer all territories and achieve “Total Domination” with RISK: Warhammer 40,000, coming this fall from The Op.
When you really think about it, a game of 40k is basically a zoomed-in version of a widescale battle. A game like Risk will be able to really capture the magnitude of the total ground an army can capture fighting on multiple fronts.
Not the First Time We’ve Seen 40k Come to Classic Games
A few years ago, we saw 40k come to Monopoly with an entire grimdark-themed board as well as some dope faction-specific game pieces that players use to move.
In case you missed the review, we’ve got it right here for you. Maybe this would be a great way to have your family dip their toe into the hobby!
Do you think 40k’s Risk will be set in Space with planets as territories? Or do you think it’ll take place on Vigilus with factions like the Imperium, Eldar, and Chaos all going for each other’s throats?
