GW Announces Warhammer 40k Big FAQ Changes for 2019

Games Workshop just announced a scheduling change for the Warhammer 40k, and gave us some ideas about what exactly they may be looking at fixing soon for the game.

Coming from Warhammer Community, they announced an early heads up that it’s almost FAQ time! We’re talking about the big one that only hits twice a year. With the FAQ coming next month, what could be changed?

2019’s Big FAQ Timeline

40k FAQ Future

Previously we the Big FAQ was slated to drop this month, however with Adpeticon ending on the last day of March this year, Games Workshop has issued a change to the update schedule:

With Adepticon coming later this month, GW has already announced that they would be waiting for the feedback from the players there before making any final moves. They also told us that there should only be small changes…nothing groundbreaking like in the past.

The good news is that Warhammer 40,000 is in a pretty good place at the moment, so there won’t be any seismic changes, just a handful of balancing tweaks.

We feel like there might be a few units out there that could go up or down in points from the recent GSC codex, for example. The Kelermorph may have some room to go up a few points in all actuality. At only 60 pts, you can set the dude down and delete a character or an infantry unit of your choice. He’s also got the Character keyword protection which makes him even harder to kill. As it sits, there’s no real reason why you would choose a Sanctus over a Kelermorph. (This is just an example of something we COULD see them tweak.

Keep your eyes peeled for the official FAQ to hit sometime in April after Adepticon. Do you have any ideas on what might get tweaked more? Will the Shadowspear units go up or down in price? Will Chaos be a top army at Adepticon? Let us know what you think in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
