Adepticon, ATC & GW’s Armies On Parade 2017

GW Armies On ParadeGames Workshop just announced their two week Armies on Parade in October, but we got lot’s more from Adepticon and the upcoming ATC event on the way too!

The Armies on Parade event will start October 23rd and run through November 5th, giving you two weeks to get your best painted armies on display for the world to see. You will be able to see all the action on the brand new Armies on Parade website.

Games Workshop posted up the following:

From October 23rd to November 5th, Warhammer and Games Workshop stores across the world will play host to Armies on Parade – a global celebration of your Warhammer collections.

This is your chance to paint an army to the best of your ability and to show off your glorious force for the world to see.

The Community team offices are already resounding with pledges of completed armies and ambitious themed projects.

They go into a little more detail about the event, and how to get your armies submitted over on the new site:

Armies on Parade is a global celebration of your Citadel Miniatures collections, held in every Warhammer and Games Workshop store across the world. This is your chance to paint an army to the best of your ability and show it off for the world to see.

Anyone can take part in Armies on Parade. All you need to do is build and paint an army and bring it into one of our Warhammer or Games Workshop stores between October 23rd and November 5th.

It’s that simple! The only restriction is that your army needs to fit into an area no larger than 2′ by 2′. Many use this space to create a display board for their entry. It’s a great opportunity to build and paint some scenery and it makes your army look even more impressive.

The store winner is decided by a public vote, everyone choosing their favourite Armies on Parade entries for each category. This year, there will be more than just a Best Painted award with categories going out for Best Theme, Youngbloods, Best Board and more.

The Armies on Parade category isn’t a new thing though. We’ve been posting Armies on Parade for the last nine years, as first a weekly and then a daily segment on the site.

Plus we continue to run weekly showcases from across the globe and covering some of the biggest events known to 40k. Adepticon 2017 brought forth some amazing armies and we’re not anywhere near done showing them off yet.

Just a few weeks away is the American Team Championships, the first major event for 8th Edition 40k, and we’ll be there once again bringing you the army features that you crave.

Games Workshop will be putting more information out on this year’s event at the end of July, so be sure to check back in for the latest updates.

What are your thoughts? Do you already have an army in mind for your entry?
