Halo Energy Sword: New GW Rumor Engine Spotted

gw rumor engineGames Workshop might have taken inspiration from Halo in this rumor engine. Check out this new hand weapon that’s on the way to one of their games.

We can’t quite tell if this would be for 40k or Age of Sigmar, but it looks like we can tell exactly what we’re looking at. We’ve got an energy sword on the way from Warhammer Community!

GW Bringing In Halo’s Energy Sword: Rumor Engine Latest

rumor engine 3-24-2020Looking at the bit, we can see a clenched fist holding the weapon. There’s some kind of crystal that looks a little similar to the Aeldari spirit stones, and then a two-pronged blade. Just purely on cosmetics alone, it may be some kind of Idoneth Deepkin unit in AoS. Or maybe this is some kind of Wraithbone weapon for the Craftworlds in 40k.

halo energy swordIn either case, it looks like the GW design team drew their inspiration from Halo’s energy sword. Remember that extra little sprint boost you got when you attacked with it in-game? Maybe we could see some kind of dash mechanic also come to the model as well.

We mentioned to factions from above. However, there’s also always the possibility of another brand new faction hitting GW’s model line as well. Who knows!

What do you think we’re looking at? Would you like to see this weapon hit AoS or 40k?
