Hobbyists may have one more reason to buy the new Primaris Repulsor Executioner tank now! GW just FAQ updated their new release!
Spotted on the Warhammer 40k Facebook page, they dropped an announcement for the Repulsor Executioner. Up until now, it was only usable by factions that choose to follow the base Codex: Astartes book. But that’s all changed!
GW FAQs Their New Primaris Space Marine Tank
For reasons unknown, the Primaris Repulsor Executioner was only usable by the more-vanilla Chapters of Space Marines. I.e Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, Iron Hands, etc.
But no longer! It was just announced that the <CHAPTER> keyword can be filled in by Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Deathwatch, and even their successor Chapters.
Also, it went up 30 points base cost plus one point for the Twin Ironhail stubbers as well.
All of the Chapters of the Imperium just got another door of increased firepower unlocked to them. For the longest time, the one model of the Repulsor was mainly fit for transporting Primaris squads and blowing away screens with tons of multi-shot weapons. However, soon we could be seeing some armor-punishing lists using three of these guys across all the Chapters that players prefer.
An in case you were wondering about its stats, we’ve got you covered:
Remember, it has two main cannon options. Both of which are a souped-up plasma/las cannon. Beyond that, it’s still got tons of weapons that can sling shots downrange but for the most part, are only good against light infantry. That being said, the unique rule about this tank is the Aquilon Optics. This is essentially Grinding Advance for Leman Russes. However, with more advanced weaponry, this can be a punishing leg-up on enemy armor.
If you haven’t gotten one yet, but have the base repulsor you may be interested in this new $18 upgrade set from Hexy:
And of course we show you how to build it below:
With the Repulsor Executioner unlocked to all of the Chapters, how many will you be running? Do you think it’s worth it to run more than one? Or are they too expensive points-wise for your taste?
