GW has just dropped a new Adeptus Mechanicus FAQ and Errata, while it isn’t giant, it is always good to know what’s going on with your army!
GW hasn’t been really giving updates on Warhammer Community when the FAQs go live, so you kind of have to just keep checking back. But, generally, a little while after a new book comes out, so does the subsequent FAQ. This one is small enough for us to show everything right here, but if you want to download it for yourself, you can here.
While this isn’t huge, there are a couple of changes in there that make a big difference in-game. It won’t change their playstyle too much, there are some changes that you need to take a look at. Let’s get into it!
GW Releases New Adeptus Mechanicus 40k FAQ & Errata
First up Verse of Vengeance has a wording change, nothing too extreme, just adding some clarification to make it more in line with similar effects. Clandestine Infiltration gets a reasonable nerf, now hard capping how many times it can be used, previously there was no cap.
Arguably one of the biggest changes is to Booster Thrust, as this was previously, you could deploy, shoot, and run away out of danger, preventing any counterplay. Now, this is still a great mobility stratagem but removes the annoyance of 0 counters in return.
Manipulus can no longer stack buffs on a unit, which seems to be logical and most other targeted buffs work that way already. While the Kataphron loses the Heavy Battle Servitor ability, functionally it doesn’t change anything.
The Dunecrawler gains Data-tether, which seems to make sense as many thought it was supposed to have the ability anyways. The Dunerider can now only transport <<Forge World>> Infantry, which was funny because previously they could actually transport any Imperium unit if it were in a soup list. The last change is a similar keyword adjustment for the Archaeopter. Both make sense in general.
Lastly, there is a single FAQ, which doubles down and makes the Wrath of Mars stratagem clearer. It can cause no more than 6 mortal wounds per use, whereas some people tried to argue it was per attack.
Again, if you want to download the FAQ, you can here.
Knights have won this time, but what do you think about all three of these most recent lists?
