GW has announced new Horus Heresy Solar Auxilia models, Black Library releases, and Orks for MTO that will be available for pre-order this Saturday!
There’s good news this week for hobbyists who want to expand their Warhammer collection by adding unique models to their collections or reading up on lore. Here are the new releases coming to pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, April 27th, 2024, around 1 p.m. EST here in the States.
GW Reveals New Horus Heresy, Black Library & MTO Pre-Order Lineup
New releases Warhammer hobbyists can look forward to new releases of Solar Auxilia models, Black Library books, and Orks for MTO that will be available for pre-order this Saturday. In addition, War for the Mortal Realms and The End and The Death: Volume II will make for some captivating reading experiences.
Solar Auxilia Basilisk & Medusa
Do your Loyalist/Traitor (delete as appropriate) opponents think they’re safe huddling behind walls and ruins? Rain down a storm of artillery upon them with the workhorse ordnance vehicles of the Solar Auxilia – the Basilisk and the Medusa. Each kit builds one tank armed with either the Basilisk’s infamous long-range Earthshaker cannon or the Medusa’s deadly armour-rending Medusa mortar.
We just saw a ton of Solar Auxilia releases not too long ago, making this another addition to the line!
Hermes Light Sentinel Squadron
The Hermes Light Sentinel is the Solar Auxilia’s premier fast skirmishing walker, built for raw speed and equipped with a surprisingly powerful arsenal for a machine of its size. This kit builds two Hermes Light Sentinels with a wide range of options, including additional armour plates and weapons to turn them into elite Hermes Veletaris Sentinels for headlong frontal assaults.
Walkers are iconic for 40k Imperial Guard, making these their spiritual predecessors.
Made-to-Order Orks
It’s impossible to keep Orks away from a good fight, and these Made to Order kits are so keen for a scrap they’ve travelled across time to get stuck in. The clanking Ork Dreadnought tears into troops with a pair of claws that cut through power armour like butter, while the stealthy Blood Axe Kommandos strike from the shadows and a quad of five Nobz show the runtier Boyz how it’s done – wearing some vintage Ork fashion, if the horned helmets are anything to go by.
While these are pretty old minis and might look out of place, they certainly have a certain charm about them!
War for the Mortal Realms
Chart the continuing history of Warhammer Age of Sigmar in War for the Mortal Realms – a new omnibus collecting companion novels from each edition of the game with new interstitial sections bridging the gaps between major events in the Age of Sigmar. It’s a perfect way to get caught up with the affairs of the Mortal Realms before the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar lands later this year, with exciting stories by Chris Wraight, Josh Reynolds, and Darius Hinks.

Yndrasta is a massive figure in the lore of Stormcast making this a great book to learn about her and the faction as a whole.
The End and The Death: Volume II
The end of the Horus Heresy has arrived, and you can relive the penultimate chapter in the Imperium’s early history with a new paperback edition of The End and The Death: Volume II by Dan Abnett. The walls of the Imperial Palace have almost been breached, and the Emperor readies himself for the final showdown with Horus aboard the Vengeful Spirit – but there is still much to be done before their fateful duel, and characters from across the Horus Heresy series will find their final roles to play as the apocalyptic Siege of Terra draws to a close.
