Honest Pariah Nexus Box Review: Goobertown Hobbies

Kill Team reviewThis is the first time GW has sent him anything for a pre-release product review. He’s not sure they will after this video again, because they asked for a box review, and a literal box review is what we’re getting. Because the box itself is all that matters.

Cat Testing

Kill Team review spruesThe crazy part is this is almost as big as the Indomitus box in terms of size and since we’re comparing the boxes, that makes all the difference. The cat seems intrigued enough by the cardboard object, so there’s hope yet.

Box Comparison

Comparing the boxesWhen you compare the box to Indomitus, the box just doesn’t hold up in terms of sturdiness or depth. With two more inches of depth, the cat test just tells you everything you need to know. Just look at how well that still holds a cat after all these months. While the Indomitus box was 25% more money, it really gives you that solid box feels, and if cats approve, you know it’s a sturdy box.

Comparing BoxesJust look at how thin the box is when compared to Indomitus, but both cats are really relaxed here. So who’s to say it isn’t worth the price? But he’s doubtful it will hold up to the rigors of cat-sitting life.

His Thoughts

Terrain KillteamNow that the boxes themselves are compared and tested by his cats, it’s time to look at what’s inside. The terrain is meant to be scattered around and when laid out like this, it seems a little underwhelming. While they fit well on the Kill Team mat, they don’t really help with a real table of terrain.

Also, the rulebook doesn’t have the core rules, so if you want to play, you’ll have to pick them up separately.  None of the minis have whispered for him to paint them yet, but they will have the chance soon.
