Getting a re-roll to hit can be crazy good for the long range vanguards, as well as the anti flyer dunecrawler. Time this one just right to maximize this formations output like a well oiled machine!

Infantry models from this formation that are within 6″ of the Armoured Shield’s Leman Russ receive a 4+ cover save.

Maximize your blob squads coverage of tanks by using this formation in combination with psychic powers etc to get a HUGE cover save advantage  to your tank’sbubble wrap.
