Imotekh is BACK! Necron 8th Datasheets Spotted

necron8th edition’s leaks are going full force, and now we’re getting a look at some of the new Necron rules!  Come take a look at latest rules for Warhammer 40k.

There hasn’t been anything put out by Games Workshop on Necrons or what to expect in the new edition, but that doesn’t matter anymore.

The new Necron index leaks were found on Imgur, and we couldn’t be any more happy to share.

Necron Index

The two common abilities for the Necrons are Reanimation Protocols and Living Metal. For Reanimation Protocols roll a D6 at the beginning of your turn for each slain model from this unit, unless the whole unit was destroyed.

Reanimation Protocol triggers on a 5+ and the unit being rolled for is set back up in unit coherency with any model from this unit that has not returned to the unit as a result of the reanimation protocols this turn, and more than 1″ from enemy models. If there isn’t room you cannot set the model up.

Any unit with the Living Metal ability recovers 1 wound at the beginning of your turn.

Imotekh the Stormlord is coming in with low numbers where it counts. He has a 2+ Weapon Skill, Ballistic Skill, and Save with a 4+ Invulnerable Save.

He’ll be landing hits and dodging wounds like nobody’s business. What he doesn’t dodge will help be restored with the Undying ability which lets him regain D3 wounds at the beginning of the turn rather than 1 from his Living Metal Ability. Speaking of abilities… Bloodswarm Necroscarabs is giving you re-roll Hit rolls of 1 for friendly units with the Sautekh keyword within 12″.

Lord of the Storm is another nice ability allowing you to pick an enemy unit, in the shooting phase, within 48″ of Imotekh. Roll a D6 and on a 2+ that unit suffers that many mortal wounds, then roll a D6 for each enemy unit within 6″ of that unit, that unit suffers D3 mortal wounds.

The Catacomb Command Barge has a 2+ WS and BS making it easy to land hits on the units you’re targeting. It has 8 Wounds, Toughness 6, and a 3+ save which is going to help keep it alive that much longer.

But the bread and butter for this ship is in the abilities, it is a command barge afterall. Wave of Command allows you to choose a friendly <Dynasty>Infantry unit within 12″ and add 1 to the Advance, charge, and hit rolls of that unit until the beginning of your next turn. Quantum Shielding lets you roll a D6 each time this model suffers damage from an unsaved wound. If the total wounds is less than what you rolled the wounds are ignored.

If you decide to take Resurrection Orb you can make Reanimation Protocol rolls for models from a friendly <Dynasty> Infantry unit within 3″ once per battle, immediately after you’ve made you Reanimation Protocols rolls.

We’re finally getting to see more than what Games Workshop wants us to see. You can find the rest of the Necron rules, points lists, and wargear that were leaked over on Imgur.
