The 3D bits future is here for the hobby! Check out a familiar lineup of resin cast bits alternatives to Forge World for with the Armiger Knight from Iron Wolf Minis
You may remember Gadgets Plus that has been selling 3D printed Knight upgrade bits on Shapeways. Now their sister company Iron Wolf Minis has their own site and casting methods for the same bits!
That’s right, instead of the 3D printed material, they are now in completely processed resin. Those dope Custodes Knight bits are also made by them if you are interested.
Iron Wolf Minis Resin Cast 3D Bits Alternatives To Forge World
Right out of the box, we get a sense of the special touch Iron Wolf Minis gives their new orders. I got a nice card and sticker with the logo, plus the bits came in two branded dice bags! Goodbye, crown royal bags, now you’ve got two dice bags and best of all it was free. Buy bits get a free dice bag (or two) that’s just pure profit!
Not only do you get goodies with the purchase, but it’s cheaper to the 3D printed bits by around half for everything! Props to them for going the extra mile.
There are two kits Rob picked up with this order, larger-scale Knight bits set and a smaller-scale Armiger bit set. Above is the Knight scale set. Rob couldn’t fit the foot and face on because his “Bit testing” knight is glued in those places, however, they do look stunning in terms of detail and would without a doubt look amazing.
The Arminger kit looks sweet in resin and is clearly a slight upgrade compared to the old 3D printed bits that we could see below on the painted mini. Compared to the Knight bits, we can tell its slightly different styles but mainly the same concept.
If you had both of them together on the tabletop they would look right at home alongside any Space Wolves army.
