Latest On Plastic Guillman & Gathering Storm III

By Rob Baer | February 6th, 2017 | Categories: Warhammer 40k, Warhammer 40k Rumors

GuillimanGames Workshop just dropped another Gathering Storm III teaser. We’re now finding out the backstory to each new mini! Come take a look at the latest update!

Fresh off the heels of the Gathering Storm III initial teaser, this update is sure to shed some light on the minis, and the role they play in the story yet to be told.

Imperial Palace Terra siege of

Roboute Guilliman was one of the Emperor’s 20 sons and Primarch of the Ultramarines Legion during the days of the Great Crusade. A superlative statesman and leader, he was also a formidable strategist, formulating battle plans and tactics that are still in use 10,000 years later. While Guilliman continued his father’s work following the Horus Heresy, he was eventually brought low by his treacherous brother Fulgrim. Interred in a stasis field before he could die, Guilliman has remained at death’s door ever since…

Ultramar Map

The realm of Ultramar is the setting for the third book in the Gathering Storm series. The book contains a star map of the entire region, detailing the many worlds that Roboute Guilliman must rescue from the clutches of Chaos before he can look at saving the rest of the Imperium.

Rise of the Primarch

Rise of the Primarch includes five Echoes of War missions that follow the events that take place in the story and three Cataclysm of War missions that introduce new ways to play, including Stratagems – assets that you can use before or during the game to give you the edge over your opponent. These rules can be combined with those found in Fall of Cadia.

Cypher

Beneath Cypher’s many layers of tattered robes can be seen a holstered bolt pistol. Being of such an ancient design, the gun has no magazine, but an ammo feed instead.

Cypher’s backpack is a mismatch of designs, having been modified many times over the millennia.

Cypher carries a long sword across his back that is far too big for even an Astartes’ hands. It is rumoured that the sword is the fabled Lion Sword that once belonged to the Dark Angels Primarch Lion El’Jonson.

Grand Master Voldus

Voldus’s shoulder pad bears the Chapter symbol of the Grey Knights – an open book with a sword behind it. Behind the symbol oaths and litanies can be seen engraved into his armour.

As Warden of the Librarius, it’s not surprising that Grand Master Voldus carries numerous books and weighty tomes about his person.

They no doubt contain many terrifying facts about Chaos Daemons

The storm breaks!

Despite the best efforts of the Inner Circle, it looks like a copy of March’s issue of White Dwarf has escaped from the impenetrable iron-clad citadel-prison at the centre of our fortress monastery (we blame Cypher).

The secret is out: what we had up our 10,000-year-old sleeves for the final climactic instalment of the Gathering Storm trilogy was a couple of master-crafted pistols, a Grand Master of the Grey Knights and a Primarch!
