3rd Place: Miles Engrav – Grey Knights
2nd Place: Tedd Williamson – Necrons
1st Place: Jeremy Capko – Dark Angels
Jeremy’s winning Dark Angels were led by a Lieutenant for a solid single model that also provides wound re-rolls, and two Techmarines offer some vehicle support. The HQs were followed up with three Inceptors for some super strong ranged shots on decently mobile bodies.
Infiltrators add another ranged unit, while the only actual Dark Angels unit, a Darkshroud, gives nearby units stealth. Three Redemptor Dreads pair nicely with Techmarines for super solid armored ranged models.
A Repulsor adds one more vehicle as another heavy armored ranged threat to fire off rounds all game long. The list then ends with two units of scouts for cheap bodies to sit on more distant objectives.
In conclusion, the Midwest Conquest was a great event for Warhammer 40k players, with Dark Angel, Necrons, and Grey Knight armies making their way to the top.
The winning Dark Angels army, led by Jeremy Capko, was impressive with its focus on vehicle threats supported by Techmarines!
