Unofficially Iron Hands are on deck next for thier own Space Marine Codex. Checkout what appears to be thier Priamris Marine upgrades hidden in plain sight!
Take a look at the latest on Iron Hands. They’ve just had their Chapter Tactics updated to be probably one of the strongest out there. Looking toward a preview showcasing some of their models, there are a few Marines that have us guessing about a new upgrade sprue/transfer sheet combo in the future!
Chapter Tactic
If you missed our earlier post on all of the updated Chapter Tactics, here is the Iron Hands’. These guys essentially have three rules rolled into one and they’re all insanely useful for basically every phase of the game. They have a 6+++ FNP, Overwatch on a 5+, and count as having double the wounds on their damage table.
Remember Space Marines new Enhanced Chapter Tactics now apply to vehicles as well.
Leviathans, for example, just got A LOT more tanky for this army and will also be able to unleash some punishing storm cannon volleys in overwatch that’ll make enemies think twice about charging them.
We’re Still Waiting to See the Iron Father
The Iron Father was previewed a while ago as a new Primaris HQ option for the army. We haven’t seen anything on his rules but in light of all of the Codex Supplements mentioned, the Iron Hands are rumored to be on deck next for their own supplement book with goodies.
Evidence of Iron Hands Upgrade Sprue?
Also spotted within the Chapter Tactics preview were some Iron Hands Primaris units. There’s something special about these guys. Looking at a Chaplain and a squad of Intercessors first, There look to be two head bits that are half metal/half face because you know…the flesh is weak.
Beyond that, their left shoulder plate is raised with the Iron Hand which is indicative of an upgrade sprue.
Looking at some Aggressors, Their left shoulder plate all have clearly defined and raised edges of the Iron Hands Chapter insignia as well. Aggressor kits don’t currently come with any kind of textured insignia on their pauldrons so it might be safe to say that, like the White Scars, they’re also getting an Upgrade sprue in the future.
Lastly, if you look in the back at another unit of Intercessors, one looks to (possibly) have an actual iron hand as a part of their arm. However, that could just be a silver paint job on a normal hand.
With all this covered, what do you think about the Iron Hands’ Chapter Tactics compared to the other Chapters? How many upgrade kits would you need to flesh out your army?
