Instructions & Sprues

Psychomancer instructionsRob has had a few nightmares about the Silent King, so anytime he opens a new Necron box he gets a little nervous! Hopefully, this will be better but right off the bat, there are so many small pieces, and tons of pieces all have to go together in such strange ways. Rob is not too optimistic about this one.

It seems crazy but something with this many annoying parts could take like an hour or more to build correctly. There were a lot of Necron kits that just didn’t work very well. They either were the easiest or hardest basically.

Psychomancer sprue

Psychomancer sprue 2Looking at the sprue, it doesn’t seem too crazy but all the pieces are super well detailed. But with so many small parts, you are going to have to be very careful when clipping these out or you will break stuff. Also, there are no slots or pegs, so we’ll see how it goes together.

Built Mini

Psychomancer built 2

Psychomancer builtIt’s not one hundred percent perfectly built and this build was not easy! It’s very fiddly and a huge time sink. Just building the body took forever to get right and if you’re off at all, then it will mess up the tentacles on the bottom. The guy does look awesome, but man is it frustrating to build. If you want this guy, just be prepared for a long and fiddly build.

Size Comparison

Size ComparisonHe is a decent amount larger than the Overlord from the Indomitus box.

Overall, the mini looks amazing, but it is not easy to build. For something this size, it shouldn’t take this long. Hopefully, it looks good enough to outweigh the annoyance.
