New Chaos Lords Storm Into 40k
The new Chaos Lord is an impressive sight, adorned with various trophies and decorations that are fitting for a barbaric war leader, including a leering stomach plate and a backpack adorned with skulls.
The kit offers a variety of weapon options, such as a chainaxe, an accursed maul, or a daemon hammer in the right hand and a plasma pistol or power fist in the left. Additionally, there is a choice of a horned helmet or a bare head, both of which are intimidating.
Attack From the Sky With the New Jump Pack Chaos Lord
While some Lords choose to fight on foot, others prefer to take to the skies and engage in battle as quickly as possible. A jump pack is a perfect tool for launching into action and earning favor with the gods, so why not strap one on and unleash destruction from above?
The Chaos Lord with Jump Pack is depicted in a dynamic pose, either just landing on or jumping off from his unfortunate target. He can be equipped with a power axe or fist, along with a plasma or bolt pistol, providing a balanced loadout for battling all types of enemies.
Fans of the Night Lords will be pleased to see the return of the classic pair of lightning claws for shredding foes in close combat.
New CSM Battleforces
Then, there are two new CSM Battleforces, one each with one new character. The first will focus on the more combat assault side of things, with the jump-pack character. Whether you love Haarken or not, it’s nice to have a new jump-pack character for a cheaper and more flexible option.
Dread Talons Box Is Fill With Raptors
The Dread Talons battleforce is focused on one goal: smashing through enemy lines with a massive horde of jump-pack troops. The new Chaos Lord with Jump Pack leads a wing of 10 Raptors, along with a terrifying Daemon Prince, while 10 Cultists, a unit of Accursed Cultists, and a Dark Commune hold down the fort for their profane masters.

The new Chaos Space Marine Combat Patrol includes 26 miniatures. It has 10 Cultists, 10 Chaos Space Marines, five Possessed, and a Master of Possession to lead them into combat. The new Codex also contains full rules for using them in games of Combat Patrol, while for larger games of Warhammer 40k, these models are a force of around 460 points.
We also have a values and pricing post for the Chaos Combat Patrol box set, where we discuss whether it is worth your hobby dollars.
The 10th Edition Codex is Here
There is also a new Codex: Chaos Space Marines, which is packed with new rules, detachments, and more. It is one of the largest codexes released to date, featuring eight detachments that highlight the fighting styles of classic Traitor Legions, as well as other renegade forces like piratical raiders and devotees of Vashtorr the Arkifane.
While there aren’t a ton of new minis, their codex sounds interesting, with eight detachments and even ways to finally play with full traitor guard/cultists lists!
With two new CSM Battleforces, a jump pack character, a Chaos Space Marine Lord, and a codex with eight detachments, there are plenty of options to choose from to help you spread Chaos throughout the galaxy!
