New 40k Eldar Mini Hidden in Plain Sight: SATIRE

Eldar Feature rWatch out- GW tried to hide a new Eldar 40k mini in plain sight, but we weren’t fooled! Can you guess what it is?

With all the hype around the new Lelith mini, you may have missed something even more amazing! If you look closely at the base you can see a poor Guardian, who is not only dead but has rapidly deteriorated. You may ask, what’s the crazy part about that little dead guy? Well, he is the first new basic Guardian released in almost 23 years!

You heard that right, basic Guardians haven’t got an update since before the turn of the Century.

Editor’s note: You could count the plastic crewmen for the various weapon platforms that released in the early 2000s, but anyway you slice it Guardian models, in general, are old enough at this point to have graduated high school.

New 40k Eldar Mini Hidden in Plain Sight: SATIRE

Dead GuardianWhile the two sides of the Aeldari race fight all the time, this guy has the honor of gracing Lelith bases all over the world soon. Now you Eldar players can no longer complain about getting new minis! You have one right here, so don’t get greedy on us, please. Just because Space Marines have had dozens of releases, just be happy with the one you are getting and try your best to convert it into something useful.

It’s not like 3rd Edition minis are so bad anyway, hey at least it’s plastic, not like the Mandrakes…

Will They Ever Get an Update?

GuardiansThese were first released way back in 1998 and have made it through six editions and are working hard in their 7th edition. They aren’t terrible, but when you compare them with all the new minis, well, you can see them. But hey, at least GW showed them some love and threw them in a new release for once! Even if the Guardian is dead, he’s still there!

Maybe that means they have Guardians on the brain and are finally going to update the minis??!!

Do you think they will ever get some new minis? What’s your favorite old/un-updated minis?
