New Warhammer 40k Orks Pre Orders Hit Hard by Allocations

GW-allocationsGood luck getting a Kill Rig as the new Warhammer 40k Orks releases this week are being hit hard by allocations and doesn’t look good.

Looks like allocations are back for the new Warhammer 40k releases this week. It could be due to current weather situations or just not enough stock in the first place, we’re not sure. Either way, stores are not getting that many of the new 40k releases.

For now, though, let’s check out what goes on pre-order this week that’s affected, and then take a look at how many of each will be available, and round it up with our thoughts on the matter.

Kill Rig $125

A giant scrap-metal sleigh bristling with gun towers, dragged into battle by a cantankerous tramplasquig, as a Wurrboy blasts enemies with bolts of psychic energy like a wild-eyed murder-Santa delivering the gift of death? That’s textbook Ork.

This kit can alternatively be built as a Hunta Rig – with a separate Wurrboy – that’s perfect for giving your bellowing Beast Snagga Boyz a ride.

As an added bonus, this is a big model, and big models are cool. The model also has some different building and playing options making it a decent kit overall with different applications for different players.

Painboss $35

If any of your Boyz happen to fall off their Kill Rig or get trampled by a horde of squighogs, the Painboss is here to fix ’em up, often with a cybernetic limb or two. Not known for his bedside manner, he leaves all the grunt work to his Grot Orderly, who he’s also outfitted with a snazzy motorised wheel.

This new Painboss also has multiple build options, making it possible to run multiple that looks completely different!

Mozrog Skragbad / Beastboss on Squigosaur $50

Mozrog Skragbad is the surliest, meanest, and most belligerent Beast Snagga to have ever lived. Charging into battle on Big Chompa, his great white squigosaur, he’s a total force of nature.

While you could technically paint any squig white, this one does certainly have its own lore implication, which does make it exciting for any Warboss who might field it on the tabletop.

Stuffed full of bionics after being swallowed whole and nearly digested by a goliath gutmaw, Skragbad is more determined and fightier than ever. This kit also builds a generic Beastboss on Squigosaur for a slightly more chilled-out alternative – by Ork standards at least.

Just like the other kits this week multi-purpose is the name of the game, and this one is no different. Having extra options is always a good thing.

Siege of Terra: Warhawk (HB) $30

This gripping tale by Chris Wraight describes Jaghatai Khan and his audacious gambit to liberate the Lion’s Gate space port from his daemonically empowered brother Mortarion.

All around him, slaughter reigns as the Traitor Legions gain more and more ground on Terra – can the White Scars and their Primarch stand strong against the Death Guard?

This Week’s 40k Orks Release Hit Hard by Allocations

  • Kill Rig 5
  • Painboss 5
  • Mozrog 2
  • Seige of Terra 1

Honestly, these are pretty harsh. Especially when you consider Mozrog is only 2 per store which could go to one person considering you can make the kit into two different models. Even the Kill rig and Painboss of 5 are pretty harsh, with the Kill Rig rules already super popular with Ork Players.

Before this we had seen numbers trending upward, this time, they are going way down.  Hopefully moving forward we’ll see the numbers build back up.
