40k’s online turn-based game known as Gladius is getting an expansion! Check out the latest details on what’ll be lurking on the planet surface.
Gladius is a turn-based 4X game pitting factions against each other on a planet known as…you guessed it. Gladius. Every faction has a different motive for being there. For example, the Imperium was exploring the planet when they accidentally woke up an entire Dynasty of Necrons that are now hellbent on getting them off their planet.
Gladius Prime
In the base game, players may fight for the Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Orks, or Necrons. The game looks very similar to any Civilization game from its turn-based style and hexagonal blocks.
Bases may expand within your territory but the player will have to claim more land in order for his base to grow. Be quick to snag resources for yourself and fortify the walls of your strongholds. The enemy will surely be doing the same.
Gladius Prime was known to Imperial scholars as a planet of archeological interest. During its colonization ancient relics were found, revealing hints of a shrouded past. But it was more than relics. Something awakened, an unspeakable horror from an ancient past, and the citizens of Gladius found themselves trapped in a terrible war for survival.
Tyranid Invasion on Gladius DLC
The time has finally come for Tyranids to make planetfall on Gladius and they aren’t being discrete about it. They’re hungry and are looking to claim all of the planet’s biomass for the swarm.
The Tyranids are going to have a very Zerg-feel as they spread a “creep-like” material across the ground they’ve claimed.
Bash through the pitiful forces that think they could stand a chance against the sheer weight of Tyranid bodies that come with a Hive Fleet. Your objective is just the same as everyone else’s. Control the planet and claim all the resources for yourself.
The Tyranids are officially a playable faction in Gladius and is available on Steam right now for $14.99.
