Take a look at what the Dark Angels are getting next, as their new Leviathan and Praetor are available to order now from Forge World.
Forge World moved these Heresy-themed Dark Angels from the pre-order to the normal ordering section of their web store. If you missed what’s hot off of the pre-orders from last week, take a look.
Dark Angels Legion Praetor $35
This model is covered in Dark Angels symbols, making it really stand out on the battlefield. He comes armed with a Terranic greatsword and a choice of ornate combat shield or master crafted bolter. You also get a choice of heads – one is bare and the other wears a winged helmet. This 13-part resin kit makes one Dark Angels Legion Praetor and comes supplied with one 32mm Citadel round base. Rules for Legion Praetors can be found in The Horus Heresy – Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List.
Coming with a helmeted and bare head option, the Legion Praetor model is one of the most flexible backbone units you can use in your list in Heresy games. And if you just love the model, this is a fantastic building block for a Dark Angels Smash Captain!
Dark Angels Legion Leviathan (Armless) $83
This highly detailed resin kit makes one Dark Angels Legion Leviathan Siege Dreadnought with a choice of two volkite calivers or two heavy flamers mounted to its front, as well as an optional phosphex grenade launcher. It is fully compatible with Forge World’s Leviathan weapon arms (available separately) and is supplied with a round Citadel 80mm base.
Rules for Leviathan Siege Dreadnoughts in the Age of Darkness can be found in The Horus Heresy – Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List book while rules for using it in Warhammer 40,000 can be found in Imperial Armour – Index: Forces of the Adeptus Astartes.
Once again, you really can’t go wrong with this unit either. The Leviathan in both 30k and 40k are nearly unstoppable killing machines for their points. And if you’re a true fan of the Dark Angels, this Leviathan will be a great addition to your collection. Just remember that you need to buy the arms separately.
With these two units available and rocking the classic Dark Angels iconography, what will you be grabbing? Did you already get yours from pre-orders?
