The Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List collects together all of the units available to any Space Marine Legion – and this collector’s edition looks amazing!
Here’s the latest about the new Legiones Astartes Army “Red Book” from the show, courtesy of Garro:
  • the legion crusade army list is being updated into the ‘age of darkness army list’ book due out july/august time. name change is because the army list represents the legions during the heresy due to the amount of units that only start appearing during the heresy.
  • the updates to the AoD list will be larger than previous red books, as the core army list as presented in betrayal was originally written for 5th edition, so is now two editions behind, and FW have taken their time with this one to re-address certain in balances and other issues.
  • the AOD legion book will have a limited edition black version. (above)
  • the next four legions to get dice sets are: night lords, iron warriors, world eaters, and word bearers.

So we know there will be TWO versions of the new book coming, a collectors and a regular edition. This is the first collector’s edition Forge World has attempted for the Horus Heresy Series since Book IV: Conquest, that seemed to take weeks to sell.
Currently the “old” version of the same book is still up for sale on Forge World’s site, which consumers should be wary of.
Look for even more on this release at the Forge World open in July.

A solid release either way for Heresy fans, that I am sure will be worth the wait!
