Don’t miss the latest on the newest Primaris only Space Marine Chapter coming to Warhammer 40k via a very unusual delivery system…

We knew about this brand new Primaris Chapter for a while now. However, things died down until this latest preview. Before we jump headfirst into today’s update, check out the first previews from earlier in the year:

Named Primaris Chapter: Silver Templars

Coming from Faeit 212 with some snapshots of a video showcasing Silver Templars inside of a Warhammer Conquest Magazine and the claim of “Primaris Only”

In case you haven’t heard of Conquest before, it’s a hobby subscription that’s designed to build up new hobbyists collection. From paints, to brushes and miniatures, you’ll get a small helping of hobby supplies in each helping. This was where the Silver Templars were originally announced.

The Silver Templars: A Primaris Only Space Marine Chapter Teaser!!!!

The SIlver Templars, not to be confused with the Black Templars are RUMORED to be an-all Primaris Chapter. They’re wearing some kind of dark-grey armor with yellow pauldrons. (It honestly looks pretty close to the Space Wolves). These images appeared to be coming from a short Facebook video of certain pages of the book being flipped through.

This is the first time we’ve seen anything like this so take it all with a grain of salt.

Like we said before, at first glance, you could mistake this for a Space Wolf. However, look at their right pauldron. They’ve all got a spear symbol pointing up. It’s actually the “Tyr” rune from Norse Mythology.

After a little digging, this Facebook page looks to be either removed, or country locked from the USA. It is however listed as the official page of  Warhammer Conquest per Hachette Partworks website.

As noted above, Warhammer Conquest posted a little segment hyping up the Silver Templars by saying:

Are you ready to explore the background of the daring and deadly Silver Templar?

This exclusive book will take an in-depth look at the heroes, battles, rituals, and traditions of this new Space Marine Chapter and it’s all yours this May, dispatched alongside issues 39-42!

Letters were sent out to Warhammer Conquest subscribers with details on a new Silver Templars Sourcebook. Note this is not a Codex. It will be costing £19.99/€29.99 and looks to focus on the lore/ how to paint them.

Coming from Miniwars, some pages out of the Silver Templars supplement book have been spotted. Taking a step into the lore, a named Primaris Chapter Master has been spotted going by Akilios Zanaris. We think this makes him the only other “named”  primaris Chapter Master besides Marneus Calgar at the moment. We’re not sure if we’ll see an official model of him in the future but we can’t discount it.

You can read a few snapshots from what looks to be from the sourcebook itself. It basically shows the Marines being too cool for school while they defend a bridge against some Chaos forces.

So where does this all put us? Well, we have absolutely no idea on what their Chapter Tactic/ Stratagems/ Relics will look like, if they will ever even get any.  All we know is the name of their Chapter Master, their paint scheme, and how they originated.

What do you think about the Silver Templars? Have you been painting your Primaris Marines like these guys? Will you be getting your hands on a sourcebook? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
