The new White Dwarf is now available and we’re seeing new terrain rules for both AoS and Warhammer 40,000. Come take a look.
The new White Dwarf is now available, and Scanner is at it again. This time we’re seeing pics of new terrain and their rules for both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar.
The new terrain for Age of Sigmar now has rules for Warhammer 40k, and they’re not much different than the Age of Sigmar rules. Units within 1″ of any Deathworld Forest terrain pieces, and behind it from point of view, of the firing unit, receive the benefit of cover. Additionally, models within 3″ must subtract 1 from all hit rolls made for close combat attacks.
Here’s the new rules for the Shardwrack Spine as well for use in games of Age of Sigmar.
It has the same Organic Wall special rule that the other Deathworld Terrain has. It also has the Razor-sharp Spines special rule which forces you to roll a dice anytime a model starts or finishes a move within 6″ of any Shardwrack Spine scenery while running or charging. On a roll of 1 that model’s unit suffers a mortal wound.
Last but not least the Barbed Venomgorse in AoS. Once again, it has the Organic Wall special rule. Predatory Sentience has the same rules as Razor-sharp Spines, but on a roll of 1 or 2 the model’s unit suffers a mortal wound.
What do you think about these new terrain pieces and their accompanied rules? Have you been using them in your Age of Sigmar Games already? Do you plan on using them in your Warhammer 40,000 games? Let us know in the comments below.
