darktide-video-gameOne year later, Warhammer 40k Darktide redeems itself with a substantial two-part update, as Steam reviews are finally surging!

Warhammer 40k Darktide has an enjoyable core to it, as you get to load into a game and smash through near-endless hordes of chaos! However, the game has been plagued with issues from the start, and players have been quite vocal about them!

Just the announcement of this update saw a significant player base increase, and the two-part update should only make things way better! So if you’ve been waiting to play, now is probably the best time.

One Year Later 40k Darktide Redeems Itself

Darktide Redeems ItselfThe first part of the update will include a new area and mission. Here’s the description from Warhammer Community.

To celebrate the first anniversary of Imperial rejects striking out into the plague-ridden warren of Tertium, Darktide is launching a new update, chillingly titled The Traitor Curse Part 1. The traitor Moebian 6th are up to no good in the disreputable district known as the Carnival, and after learning all about their profane motivations in a new cinematic, you’ll be deployed to fend off hordes of enemy troops deep within the Carnival’s heart.

While new missions are fantastic, they will also retool the Veteran talent tree, including brand-new upgrades. The only downside to that is you’ll have to redo them. However, with all the new updates you’ll probably want to do that anyway.

Darktide Redeems Itself 2This is just part one of the upgrade, and part two will be dropping in December, and that’s not really far off now! So, you might as well check out part one for about a month and then hop into the subsequent updates when they get here.

While updates are good, Fatshark has also been working constantly on the actual issues with the game itself, and it looks like they are making some serious headway!

Darktide Redeems Itself 3Not only did they suspend paid content, but it appears a lot of the issues are getting cleared up as the play count is its highest since its launch, and the reviews in the past 30 days have gone from a pretty sad 61% mixed up to 82% very positive (as you can see recent reviews are almost all positive)!

So, not only are there big updates, but the game seems to be working better and the following is growing for the first time since the game launched.
