Painting Nurgle Plaguebearers: eBay Miniature Rescues

Nurgle Plaguebeaers feature reBay Miniature Rescues is back again with another video tutorial, and this time he’s painting a bunch of Nurgle Plaguebearers!

eBay Miniature Rescues is a unique channel that shows you how to take beat up, damaged minis, and restore them to their fullest potential! It’s a relatively new channel on YouTube and it’s super fun to watch what Casey is able to do with some once hopeless miniatures. Be sure to check out all his stuff here!

This week we’re taking a look at one of his older videoes where he gets some Nurgle nasties ready for the tabletop!

Painting Nurgle Plaguebearers: eBay Miniature Rescues

Nurgle PlaguebearersJust look at those pretty servants of papa! Just to note, he bought these like this from eBay, as he does, so he’s going to go from here to make them even cooler. Let’s jump into how to get the minis looking great!

The Green

Airbrushing greenTo start, he breaks out the Vallejo Sickly Green. He then his all the skin with this color. After the first coat is applied he then mixes Dead Skin into the airbrush and starts highlighting the same areas. Just make sure to hit from a top-down angle here to make sure everything really stands out. Since he already has all the base coats from when he bought them, it is just about making sure the highlights look good.

Painting the Guts and Sores

Guts and soresTo start, he breaks out the Xereus Purple and uses the brush for this stage. He hits all the guts and sores with the color. This is a basecoat and covers all the colors that the airbrush went over. Since they have so many sores and whatnot, just take your time and be sure to hit it all. For a highlight, he uses Genestealer Purple for a highlight. Nothing fancy just hit a smaller portion where the light hits the mini for a highlight. To finish it off, he hits the sores, guts, and face with a Druhkari purple.

Wash

Washing Nurgle PlaguebearersFor this use Athonian Camoshade and hit the mini with a wash all over. This will bring out the colors of the mini and tie everything together.

Painting the Swords

Bronze Nurgle PlaguebearersBreak out the Screaming Bell and do a drybrush on the swords. Nothing fancy here since they already have all the other colors as a base coat, just make sure to get decent coverage so they look more bronze than green.

Finished Minis
