If you love the games and play Space Marines, you might as well recreate the game and throw your minis on the table with new missions! This is meant for Space Marines vs Chaos, but you can play the mission with any army.
Considering this is focused on CSM vs Marines, it takes place at the end of the first game, and if you remember the ending, it should be pretty epic!
Recreate Space Marine 2 With These New Warhammer 40k Missions
The new mission to recreate the Space Marine Video Game comes from Warhammer Community.
At the end of the original game, Titus – who was a Captain at the time – made his way to the top of one of forge world Graia’s orbital spires to stop the Chaos Lord Nemeroth from completing his ascent to daemonhood. It’s a memorable final battle, which you can now recreate with your own miniatures in an official mission.
For Nemeroth to succeed and rise anew as a Daemon Prince, he must stay within the boundaries of the Ritual Site, protected by roiling warp energy, while his loyal Black Legion warriors battle to secure control of Graia’s many manufactorums.
To secure a decisive victory, Captain Titus must cut off the head of the snake, but also balance rebuffing the Chaos Space Marines. If he fails, Graia will be lost to the Ruinous Powers, and Nemeroth’s forces will pose a significant threat to the Imperium.
Well, there’s the background if you haven’t played the game, but let’s check out the actual mission!
The Battle For Graia Rules
The most interesting thing to start with is the armies are different sizes! This is obviously more of a narrative mission, and armies aren’t always going to be the same size; these can be fun to play as long as you go into it with a fun mindset.
Considering you want to kill the enemy Warlord, you get precision and free re-rolls from your warlord against them! If you manage to kill the Warlord, you also score a whopping 30 VP! So, even though you’ll have fewer points, you can get some serious VP and still win the game by killing the Warlord.
The defender gets a much more giant deployment zone, so as the attacker, you have to get in there and get the Warlord! Be sure to bring plenty of fast-moving units!
