40k Release Rumors Imperium Factions Update

Warhammer 40k hobbyists, gather ’round! Here is the latest word on the street for your beloved Imperium factions, according to Chapter Master Valrak on YouTube.

Adeptus Custodes and Adeptus Mechanicus

Adeptus Mechanicus Sydonian Skatros

No New Releases for the Rest of the Edition?

First up, sorry, we have to start with a bit of a bummer… the Adeptus Custodes and Adeptus Mechanicus. These elite defenders and tech-priests are taking a bit of a hiatus. No new toys for these guys for the rest of this edition, so if you’re a fan, you might want to hold onto your wallets—or maybe invest in some of the other exciting factions getting updates!

It looks like they will both only get a single model for this edition, but that doesn’t deviate too much from how Games Workshop said 10th Edition releases were going to go in the first place…

New Blood Angels

Big Box Launch Set?

Next up, supposedly, the Blood Angels are swooping in with a massive box launch set. There are rumors of a new Sanguinary Guard, tons of characters, and, of course, a big army box! If you’re a fan of these crimson-clad vampire marines, get ready to sink your teeth into some brand-new models.

This set promises to be a big deal, so keep your eyes peeled for reveals coming soon. We’ve covered this pretty extensively, so go check out all the rumor details here!

Agents of the Imperium:

New Supplement and Models?

The Agents of the Imperium are rumored to be getting their own codex and new models. These covert operatives might soon have their own rulebook, bringing more depth and strategy to your games. Whether you’re an Inquisitor fan or love the shadowy figures of the Imperium, this update is sure to add some spice to your collection.

We’ve heard rumors about this for a long time, and the 10th Edition might be the time we finally see a revival of an agent’s codex! We covered this more in-depth before, so be sure to check out all the rumors here!

Preacher Josef 3 Most recently, we saw a Preacher Josef-looking rumor from GW! This could be another huge hint at what might be coming for the codex, and if you remember this guy, he was part of the actual 54mm scale Inquisitor game.

This would be a really cool model making a comeback. His right-hand looks almost identical to the one holding the skull box in the rumor engine.

Astra Militarum

Death Korps of Krieg Range Refresh 3

Near-Full Range Refresh?

For those who love the grunt work, the Astra Militarum looks like it is getting a near-full range refresh. This means loads of new models, with the Death Korps of Krieg leading the charge. These guys are the epitome of grimdark, and the new sculpts are expected to be top-notch.

New Death Korps of Krieg Models?

The Death Korps of Krieg are getting more than just a facelift—they’re getting a whole new wardrobe. Expect new models that bring the gritty, war-torn look of these troopers to life. There are lots more DKoK rumors from the past here.

Potential Catachan Refresh?

Catachan Imperial Guard ripper exclusiveThe rumor is that the Catachan Jungle Fighters might be up next for a refresh. These Rambo-inspired warriors are long overdue for some new sculpts, and we might just see them next year. Keep your fingers crossed, Catachan fans! But not too crossed as they might break before they come out…

Grey Knights

New Vehicle or Dreadnought Kit?

The psychic warriors of the Grey Knights might be getting some new hardware. A new vehicle or dreadnought kit is on the horizon, promising to add even more firepower to their already formidable arsenal. Who knows, maybe the baby carrier gets a rework and a new look. Or, maybe they get a new vehicle.

Possible New Character

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also talk of a new character joining the ranks. Whether it’s a powerful psyker or a battle-hardened veteran, this new addition is sure to make waves.

Xenos Factions 40k Release Rumors

The Xenos factions may also be getting some love, with exciting updates and new model rumors on the horizon. Let’s look at the rumors and see what may be in store for your favorite non-human factions.

Aeldari

Asurmen

New Aspect Warriors and Autarchs

The elegant and deadly Aeldari are finally getting some long-awaited reinforcements. New Aspect Warriors and Autarchs are in the pipeline, promising to bring fresh strategies and stunning models to your tabletop. We’ve gone pretty in-depth for every possible aspect warrior refresh; check it out here!

Dark Eldar

Kill Team Nightmare mandrakes

Possible New Models

The sinister Dark Eldar might be seeing some new additions (or at least reworked kits) as well. While details are scarce, there’s a good chance we’ll see some new models to bolster their ranks just like we did with the Mandrakes, and maybe all the finecast might finally be gone, but don’t get your hopes too high.

Potential Vect Rework

Asdrubael VectAnd for those hoping for a major update, there’s talk of a potential rework for Vect. This iconic character would need a significant overhaul, but if it happens, it would be a game-changer for the Dark Eldar. However, this rumor has been around since he got taken out of the codex… so who knows, really?

They would have to do a lot to fit him in with the game today, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

New Vespids via Kill Team?

The technologically advanced Tau are possibly getting some new Vespids, courtesy of Kill Team (and man, they need a new kit). These fast and deadly units will add more variety and tactical options for Tau players.

Orks

Major Rework in 11th Edition

Orks fans, hold onto your choppas! A major rework is supposedly coming in the 11th edition. While it might be a couple of years away, the wait will be worth it for a full overhaul of this beloved faction. The rumors point to a bunch of the older kits that haven’t seen a rework in about a decade.

Leagues of Votann

Leagues of Votann Yaegirs

Second Wave of Releases

The Leagues of Votann may be getting a second wave of releases, building on the success of their Yaegirs’ Kill Team box. Expect more models and even deeper lore (we mean any at all, really) for these space dwarves. There aren’t too many details on what this will entail, but they could totally use a cool dreadnought-style model, and it would fit in well with the line.

New Novel and Background Lore?

Alongside the new models, there’s hope for a new novel that dives into the rich history of the Leagues. This could be the beginning of a full second wave of releases, giving Votann players plenty to look forward to.

Chaos Factions 40k Release Rumors Update

Chaos is brewing in the Warhammer 40k universe, and the dark forces are gearing up for some major changes. From new codexes to exciting model releases, here’s what may be luring over the horizon for the Warhammer 40k Chaos factions.

Emperor’s Children

Emperor's Children Index Rules

New Codex, Fulgrim, and Model Range

The Emperor’s Children are getting their moment in the spotlight with a new codex, the return of Fulgrim, and a brand new model range, or at least it really feels like they have to at this point. We’re still not 100% sure if this will come this edition or at the beginning of 11th.

This has been a long time coming, and fans of these decadent warriors will finally get the updates they’ve been waiting for. We’ve talked about this already, so go catch up on all the juicy EC rumors here.

Possible Daemons Codex Integration?

Possible Integration into Individual Gods’ Codexes

There’s talk of the Daemons codex being integrated into the individual gods’ codexes. This means your favorite daemons might soon be found within the pages of the World Eaters, Thousand Sons, and Death Guard codexes. It’s like a family reunion but with more screaming and infernal fire.

However, this could also be rumormongers getting confused with AoS books, and we might not see any change.

New Models for Specific Chaos Codexes

World Eaters Image

At Least One New Model per Codex

In a move that’s sure to please Chaos fans everywhere (unless you want more than one model…), every specific Chaos codex will get at least one new model. So, whether you’re pledging your allegiance to Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, or Slaanesh, there’s a shiny (or slime-covered) new toy coming your way.

Let’s hope World Eaters gets more than one model, as their range is still much smaller compared to the others. It looks like these updates will hit next year, possibly in the summer.
