By Rob Baer | October 13th, 2017 | Categories: Forge World, Warhammer 40k, Warhammer 40k Rumors

Primaris Space MarineThere’s a new rumor surfacing that Forge World has more new Primaris models on the way. It looks like the Astartes Super-heavy Tank is just the start.

The latest rumor of new Forge World miniatures on the way was spotted over on BoLS, and from the sounds of it we might be seeing some new Primaris releases, and more, coming out soon. This is just a rumor so make sure you add a little salt for flavor.

Salt

An industry insider tells BoLS Forge World has more minis in the pipe.  Here’s the rumor:

  • “More Primaris vehicles & infantry upgrade kits are in process from Forge World.
  • A small flyer is coming, roughly equivalent to the Xiphon or Lightning.
  • Look for variants for the Repulsor tank (most likely new turrets options).
  • Redemptor will be getting new weapon kits. (everyone love new Dreadnought weapons)
  • Defensive upgrade kits for Gravis armor.”

So, from the sounds of the latest rumor, it looks like we’re going to be seeing new Primaris vehicles and infantry upgrades, as well as a new small flyer, and upgrades for the Repulsor, Redemptor Dreadnought, and defensive upgrades for Gravis armor.

Astartes Super Heavy Tank

We of course just saw the new Astraeus super heavy debuted from Forge World, and they seemed to indicate it was a Primaris battle tank with this remark:

Unlike its little brother, the Astraeus Super-heavy Tank doesn’t have any transport capacity – instead, this colossal machine is dedicated to destruction alone.

So with the chapter markings above, could these rumored and actual releases be tied into an upcoming Red Scorpions release? The Red Scorpions are the one of the factions that look to play a big role in the Imperial Armor Fires of Cyraxus, which was previewed at the Forge World Open May 2016, but still has not been released.
