RUMORS: Plastic Spacenam Alternative Catachan Sprue!

Spacenam featureWhat looks like a plastic Spacenam sprue from Reptillian Overlords that would make great alternative Catachan models has been spotted!

While nothing has been confirmed by Reptilian Overlords yet, it’s hard not to get excited when you see a sprue like this. While 3D printing is obviously awesome, it would be cool to see their offerings available in plastic as well for everyone since they are such well-done minis.

We’ll take a look at some of the Spacenam models and compare them to the sprue to see what we could get. Plus, if you ask us, this looks an awful lot like a Wargames Atlantic sprue (for more than one reason), which means we may be getting a lot of models for a great price!

RUMORS: Alternative Catachan Spacenam Sprue Spotted in Plastic!

This picture was spotted over on Imgur, and is stamped Wargames Atlantic on the top and Reptillian Overlords on the bottom.

Spacenam SprueThis looks like an awesome sprue with all kinds of weapons, heads, and bits! If you haven’t seen the files before, they make for probably the best Catachan alternatives we’ve really ever seen. Plus, RO has put out tons of special weapons teams and such for them as well, so maybe these will be added in, or they will come out with other sprues.

At this point, we really don’t know. Now, let’s compare this to the RO stuff we’ve seen before.

spacenam 2.0The legs, bodies, and backpacks look very similar, so we’re pretty excited to see how these turn out in plastic!

spacenam 2.0 6The weapons also look quite similar, but with some more options with plasma and flamers.

Plas teamThis plasma looks almost identical to the one in the kit, so it might just be an amalgamation of all their previous sets into one.

Flamethrower TeamsThere are also flamers in the plastic kit, and guess what? They have awesome flamer models!

Who Would Produce it?

WGA sprueWhile we don’t know for sure, this looks awfully similar to the Cannon Fodder sprue above, and guess who makes it? Wargames Atlantic does, and whenever they come out with a sprue, the plastic is always high-quality and is generally the most affordable thing out there.

So if they collab, as it looks, we’re in for some great Spacenam miniatures and alternative Catachan models at a great price!

Are you excited for a Reptillian Overlords / Wargames Atlantic Spacenam sprue coming in plastic to make some great-looking Catachan models?
