Don’t miss these rumors! Chaos Space Marines will be getting another round of releases, but what models are coming and when?

From Warhammer Community’s Daemon Engine we know that there are more models out there for Chaos that just what is coming next week.

New models, new units, new rules and so much more should be on the way soon! The question is what is coming, and when?

Here are the latest release rumors from Industry Insiders that are starting to emerge on the web.

Chaos Wave 2 & Beyond

Now that what is being dubbed “wave one” of the Chaos releases, which includes Vigilus II, is here it’s easy to pick out what releases Industry Insiders have said may be still on the way.

Chaos Marines

Curiously there was no autocannon spotted in the Marine box as of yet. Perhaps there will be a havoc squad released for the first time in over 15 years!

More waves of Chaos Releases:

According to Industry Insiders, the following are still on the way for Chaos:

  • Obliterators and Mutilators will be sold in a dual-model box.
  • Greater Possessed will come in a dual-model box.
  • Multipose Marines coming in their own new box.
  • Master of Possession coming in a clam pack.
  • Venomcrawler (and a possible alternate model) will be coming in its own box as well.
  • Lord of Discordant (if not the model mentioned as an alternate above)

  • Plastic Chaos Terminators (that means even more reliable autocannon spam).

We initially thought that these bits were going to go to the rumored multi-part Venomcrawler kits. They actually go to the newly-previewed Lord Discordant model! However, just because these bits go to something outside of the realm of the Venomcrawler, it doesn’t mean we can’t still see a multi-part kit for it.

Keep in mind, however, that the Lord of Discordant (which may have been the alternate model rumored below) was also previewed recently.

Mythic Blight Hauler death guard chaos warhammer 40k

We also wanted to point out that the Mythic Blight Hauler for Chaos/Death Guard wasn’t released until the Holidays of 2018 after being previewed with the main DG release in September of the same year.  So it is possible some of the new Chaos releases may not come out as soon as we would like.

Chaos players should be taking any kind of support that they can get, really. However, looking at the full spectrum of Chaos models, there’s still a lot out there that could use a “touching-up”. Could GW only be updating the most common/most needed units in the codex and letting a few older models marinate for some time while they move onto other projects?

While that’s probably the most realistic answer, we shouldn’t shut down wishful thinking! What are your thoughts on the new Chaos releases? Will you be waiting to pick up the Shadowspear units when they get their own kits? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
