Don’t miss this hobby dollar breakdown for the value of everything that comes inside the Wake the Dead box set. Which faction are you going for?

There have been some rumors going around that Box Sets were on the way that would pit unlikely forces against each other.

If you haven’t heard, Wake the Dead is a box game coming out soon with Eldar and Space Marines There’s actually going to be two new models (one for each faction) coming inside the box and they’re both characters. Let’s look at the projected value of everything.

Right off the bat, one of the most appealing things about the box is that the factions have some great introduction-level units. Both factions are just patrol detachments when you plug them into a roster, but both sides have units that can be used competitively as well. Eldar have the Wave Serpent and the Spiritseer while the Primaris are off to a good foundation of a Primaris-Guilliman gunline.

Primaris Value

primaris

  • Intercessors (five-man): $35
  • Reivers (five-man): $35 GW doesn’t make a five-man Reiver squad pack so we used the same pricing model between five and ten-man Intercessor squads.
  • Inceptors (three-man): $50
  • Lieutenant (brand new model): $25 Looking at the other two Lieutenant models out there, we’re projecting this model would be around that price.

Primaris Total: $145

Eldar Value

Eldar Psyker

  • Wraithguard (five-man): $50
  • Guardian Squad: (ten-man): $36.25
  • Wave Serpent: $44.50
  • Spiritseer: $25 The Spiritseer inside the box is a new model but we used the price for what non-named character plastic models go for normally.

Eldar Total: $156

Total Box Value: $301

Wake the Dead is looking to have some fantastic value inside. You’ll essentially be getting one faction for free. Will you be splitting it with a friend? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
