One of the most incredible armies we’ve ever seen was spotted at 2019’s Adepticon. Check out this fully converted and now award winning Squat army!eme!
Adepticon was home to armies from across the world that were absolutely one-of-a-kind. Let’s jump into this Squat-themed Imperial Guard army and all of its customizations from POP Goes The Monkey!
Adepticon 2019 Army Showcase: Squats Marching In
Like we’ve said before, this army is full of conversions!
Take a look at each close-up shot of all Squatty goodness. The display board shows the Squats in a formation moving along a very hostile planet. It looks something like Cretacia and Catachan combined. Even the vegetation wants to eat them!
This is the Squat’s version of the Hellhound. It’s actually a GSC Rockgrinder with a custom gas tank on the back.
The flying scout vehicles are actually the army’s version of a Sentinel too! Looking at the Wyverns, they’re in the back mounted up high to cover the rest of the ground force as they move forward.
Squats don’t play around when it comes to scouting out a hostile planet. They don’t hold back any plasma!
All of the insignias on the shoulder plates and hull of the tank are all custom 3D printed to really make this army stand out from the rest.
Nothing says “back off” like a pineapple grenade stuck to the end of your gun barrel.
There’s even an Ambull lurking on the planet. He’s hiding below the surface in the mists. Could he be what the Squats are looking for?
The front two vehicles are in charge of paving a platform big enough for the rest of the tanks to get through safely. It’s even putting out tiles to make sure the Shadowsword doesn’t get stuck.
All the hard work paid off, Team Pop Goes the Monkey won Best Team Theme and Presentation at Adepticon 2019 Thank you to everyone that made this one of a kind event happen!
