Here’s what scored the top spot as our new homebrew 10th Edition Warhammer 40k army list from the Invasion 2023.
Check out this excellent homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend that shows that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Top 40k Homebrew Army List: Ratcon 2023

Invasion 2023: Rasmus Valand Fredriksen – T’au Empire 5th Place
Rasmus and their high placing list was led by Shadowsun, as one of the very few old-school re-roll aura sources, making it a fantastic model. There were also two Coldstar Commanders giving the unit a boost to movement and their weapons Assault!
Three Firesight Teams hit the table for hit re-rolls on spotted models and a Longstrike for a super solid tank model.
Moving onto other models, there were also three Broadsides for some durable battlesuits with fantastic Heavy Rails for ranged firepower. 12 Crisis Battlesuits all running Ion Blasters, which offer a good mix of AP, shots, and damage.
They also pair up with the Coldstars well!
A single Ghostkeel acts as a durable model with great weapons at a decent cost. Finally, the list ends with Piranha for cheap mobility options with decent enough stats and shot output.
