This Was the Most Expensive of Game of Warhammer 40k Ever Played

40k in Antarctica featureWhat’s the craziest place you’ve ever played a game- we doubt it was quite as far south (or as expensive) as playing Warahmemr 40k in Antarctica!

Have you ever dreamed of taking a trip to a place that has built-in terrain everywhere you look? Well, that’s what these crazy gamers did (well, they obviously didn’t go just to play Warhammer 40k), and it’s just amazing to see!

While we don’t have a full battle report, just seeing the pictures of the minis in the snow is cool enough. Plus, now we have a new bucket list item to check off as hobbyists, but maybe we’ll just go somewhere exotic and warm instead!

Playing The Most Expensive Game of Warhammer 40k in Antarctica

This comes from the HMS Protector Twitter, and they obviously have some serious Warhammer 40k fans on board!

40k in AntarcticaThe battle pitted Space Marines against the Imperial Guard!

40k in Antarctica 4They even made a nice level bit of snow to roll the dice on. Without it, you would have plenty of wobbly dice!

40k in Antarctica 2The Space Marines even had quite the nice winter-theme for the battle, as it should be! If you’re going to this much snow, you better have your army in their best winter gear!

40k in Antarctica 3Last but not least, the Commissar had to show this Marine who rules the south!

Could you imagine the costs of going to Antarctica to play a game of Warhammer 40k? Not everyone can just float down on an icebreaker from the Royal Navy.

Can you imagine actually playing 40k somewhere like Antarctica? Where’s the craziest place you’ve played?
