At Las Vegas Open 2025— the dice roll as freely as slot machines, and the energy rivals what’s happening on the Strip. If you missed this year’s event (or just want another perspective), let us bring you there: every hall was teeming with hobbyists, gamers, and hobbyists from all walks of life.

Whether you came for the games, the eye-popping armies, or the vendors and their hobby supplies, LVO delivered in spades. Here’s the lowdown on what made this year’s event a gamer’s paradise.

A Gamer’s Utopia: Packed Halls and Endless Action

LVO 2025 game hallWalking into LVO this year felt like stepping into the heart of tabletop heaven. Every corner of the venue was packed with players immersed in epic battles across multiple systems. The usual suspects were there, of course—Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, and the recently revived Old World.

LVO 2025 game hallNo matter your game of choice, the atmosphere was electric. Laughter, cheers, and the occasional groan of a bad dice roll echoed through the halls, creating a symphony only gamers could truly appreciate.

Vendors Galore: A Shopper’s Paradise

Army Painter BoothThe vendor hall was an absolute goldmine for hobbyists. Imagine a bazaar where every stall is brimming with treasures for your next big project. Miniatures? Check. Terrain? You bet. Paints?

More colors than you’ll ever know what to do with. Whether you needed brushes finer than a unicorn’s hair or that elusive bit of scatter terrain, this place had it all.

Monument Hobbies BoothOne of our favorite finds this year? A set of custom bases that added an extra touch of realism to our army. Pro tip: bring a budget and a sturdy bag, because the temptation to grab “just one more thing” is very real.

Armies on Parade: Creativity Unleashed

If you thought your hobby skills were decent, LVO had a way of humbling you—in the best way possible. The armies on display this year were nothing short of jaw-dropping.

From meticulously detailed paint jobs to dioramas that felt like they’d leaped straight off a movie screen, the creativity on display was staggering.

We found ourselves drawn to a Warhammer 40k army featuring towering knights stomping across a battlefield littered with cinematic detail. Then there was a squad of Imperial Guardsmen riding what can only be described as battle-ready dinosaurs—because why not?

And don’t get us started on the Necron army themed around a tomb world reclaiming its lost glory. Inspiration overload.

Beyond the Dice: Community and Connections

Old World ArmyLVO 2025 wasn’t just about the games or the loot—it was about the people. The community vibe was unbeatable, with players swapping tips, sharing stories, and even lending supplies mid-game. Whether you were a seasoned competitor or a first-timer, it felt like a place where everyone belonged.

Painted ShowcaseSo, whether you’re in it for the games, the shopping, or just soaking up the camaraderie, make sure LVO is on your calendar next year. Trust me, it’s worth the trip—just don’t forget to save some suitcase space for all the goodies you’ll bring home.
