Thousand Sons With a Side of Warp Flame

Thousand Sons are known for their psychic powers. But the real power lies within the sorcerers themselves. They are the only ones that didn’t get turned into mindless dust zombies. Given that they’ve had 10,000 years to hone their psychic abilities, they were spotted conjuring up some crazy things.

Starting right off with Ahriman, he’s conjured up a projection of Greyfax off the sheer power of his mind. Imagine him flinging a ghostly Greyfax at you for a smite!

Another Sorcerer conjured up some kind of entity from the Warp that looks to be helping him and his men (for now).

Thousand sons are staying true to their roots in this list with a nice touch of the Egyptian kitty at this Terminator’s feet! Looking at the paint job, it looks like every detail on the models were covered. Even his robes look fantastic and free-handed!

What’s scarier than a Fire Raptor? A Fire Raptor on fire….warp fire. This brutal gunship looks like it literally crashed through the warp just a few seconds ago with green ghostly flames still on its back. Imagine looking up and seeing a ship covered in warp flame decimate your buddies in a single strafing run. That should at least be a -2 Leadership modifier!

Finally, the armored column for the Thousand Sons may be ancient, but it’s stood the test of time. The Sicaran model comes from back in the days of Horus Heresy but that many autocannon shots on tracks are no joke in 8th edition. The insignias and dust effect on all of the armor really tie everything together as well. It looks like they’ve just driven through the desert a full day to get to the fight. All in all, this is a beautiful army with loads of creativity and a crisp paint job to go with it! Great job hobbying!

We move fast taking pictures when we’re guests at tournaments helping to cover the event for them. If this is your army and you would like the full-size images or credit added to the article, just email us: support AT spikeybits.com
