Three more off-meta army lists emerged in these 9th Edition 40k tournaments over the weekend- take a look at these homebrew lists!
9th Edition’s meta is still settling, but some players are taking lists with units that nobody was expecting. Check out these awesome homebrew lists that emerged in a tournament over the weekend. They didn’t do too bad and this just goes to show that it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Top 3 Homebrew 40k Army Lists October 31st
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
Västerås Autumn Bash: Necrons– Oscar Lemming
This player opted to take double Chronomancer, a Technomancer, and The Silent King as the leaders of his force.
These offer decent buffs and powers to support this infantry based list. 60 Warriors are the core of the ranged portion of the list, while the other half is 4 Cyptothralls, 13 Scarabs Warms, and 9 Lychguard offer a solid melee force.
Västerås Autumn Bash Chaos Daemons- Sebastion Larsson
Get Your Demon Prince Miniature Now!
Sebastion took a three-way mixed daemon list instead of the usual two. By doing this they got to take the best of each faction. Starting off with a Slaanesh battalion, 3 Keeper of Secrets and 30 Daemonettes are both among the best units they can take with solid melee stats all around. For the mixed Battalion, a Lord of Change offers great psychic support. While Shelaxi Helbane is a great melee beater. 9 Nurglings are enough to grab objectives without loses that many points. 10 Screamers get some speed in the list for some mobility and lastly, 2 Exalted Flamers offer some great chaff clearing.
Västerås Autumn Bash: Iron Hands- Christoffer Hellgren
Christoffer leads his forces with Feirros, a Jump Pack Master (of sorts), and a Primaris Chief Apothecary. This equates to a great psycher with decent combat, a mobile character that offers rerolls and a good melee weapon, and a healer who can keep your most important units topped off for as long as possible.
The rest of the list is filled out with the standard 15 Intercessor and 3 Gatling Redemptor Dreads for great ranged support. 3 Bladeguard Veterans get in just a touch of melee support, the Whirlwind Scorpius gets in as the only heavy choice, and lastly, 6 eradicators offer some of the best anti-armor shooting in the game.
Overall each of these lists offers a little bit of a different approach by we like them because of their all-in on an aspect of their faction in a response to the meta. Even better they are getting decent results from the players.
