Tau Empire wins a first-place finish at the DaBoyz GT over the weekend, as these Warhammer 40k army lists took the top!
The tournament is over, and now we can look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought into their armies.
Top 3 Warhammer 40k Army Lists: DaBoyz GT

3rd Place: Eric Marcoux – Imperial Knights
2nd Place: TJ Lanigan – Thousand Sons
1st Place: Breton Weiss – Tau Empire
Brenton’s winning list is two detachments of Tau. The first is a patrol led by a Coldstar commander for its fantastic shooting and mobility alongside a Longstrike for his ranged firepower and durability thanks to his tank.
Troops have 20 Kroot Carnivores for cheap bodies that can soak wounds when needed.
Elites keep it simple with five Crisis suits running a mix of weapons to help them effectively take out a wide range of targets from far with relative ease.
Fast attacks see six Vespids for some cheap mobile bodies, while Heavy Support brings in two Riptides for their fantastic ranged powerhouses.
Flyers close the patrol with two Bombers to help get in chip damage over the course of the whole game.
Finally, the second detachment is simply Shadowsun, who provides insane stats and support to Tau lists, making it a super easy include for Brenton!
