Top 40k Army Lists Glass City GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
3rd Place: Brad Chester- Salamanders
2nd Place: TJ Lanigan – Chaos
1st Place: Tyler DeVries – Imperium
First of Tyler took an Ebon Chalice Spearhead lead by a Cannoness who provides rerolls for the detachment. 15 Retributors bring 11 multi-meltas for some much-needed anti-armor support, plus they benefit from rerolls from the Cannoness. A rhino provides cheap transportation for some of them as well.
Death Korps of Krieg is next with a full battalion lead by two Death Rider Squadron Commanders who have the important ability to issue orders to Cavalry AND Infantry units. While 3 Command Squadrons also provide some support and help buff up the leadership of nearby units. 4 total Crusaders have some unique abilities and can deny with a single d6 each psychic phase. 15 Scions are cheap bodies that get teh benefit of being able to deep strike in.
Finishing up the detachment, there is a whopping 27 Death Riders. These can deep strike in and on a turn they charge get an S5 -3AP 2D swing, making them pretty dang good at swiping Marines. They each also get 2 extra attacks at S4 -1AP 1D to help out a tad.
The Third Detachment keeps on the soup idea and dips into Adeptus Mechanicus. This is lead by a single Techpriest which can repair a few wounds to other Admech models. three 5 man squads of raiders provide the list with some cheap mobility to help grab some objectives. While 2 Fusilave Archaeotpers can help dish out mortal wounds each turn thanks to its bombs.
Imperium Victory- Congrats to Tyler on the win!
Imperium has won this time, but what do you think about all three of these most recent lists? Are Soup lists on the rise?
