Leagues of Votann scored a spot as a new homebrew Warhammer 40k army list from the CaptainCon!
Check out this excellent homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend that once again shows that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Top 40k Homebrew Army List: CaptainCon
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
CaptainCon: Todd Plourde – Leagues of Votann 7th Place
Todd’s Votann got a nice top 8 finish with an Omen Detachment led by an Iron Master to provide general support and healing and a Kahl for re-rolls. Troops bring in some Hearthkyn Warriors for some versatility and pretty decent combat ability.
Elites go all in on melee with 15 Berserkers to charge in and hopefully take out some units on the way. Fast Attacks start off with 12 Pioneers for some great mobility and ranged power.
The second group of Fast Attacks is 5 Sagitaurs for more mobile ranged power however, they are more durable than the pioneers.
And that wraps up the list!
