Is it 1998 again? The return of a classic is on the horizon as the Grey Knights battle Chaos in the new Chaos Gate Daemonhunters video game!
The original game was released back in the late 1990s where you controlled squads of Ultramarines against the Word Bearers. The new game is a tactical fast-paced turned-based RPG. This time though you will be commanding Grey Knights against the forces of Nurgle. Not too much has been said about the new version, but the trailer is pretty dope.
If you played the old game back in the late ’90s or during the rerelease in 2015, the new version should probably be right up your alley. Or if you just like RPGs, this is worth keeping an eye on. Let’s get into the trailer.
One warning, if you love Nurglings beware, as they get pretty smashed up in the trailer- those Grey Knights are bullies.
Trailer For New Chaos Gate Daemonhunters Video Game
The trailer was revealed at Gamescom 2021 and was posted on the IGN YouTube Channel. Also, we were able to find the Steam listing for the game, it doesn’t have a ton of info yet, but does give a little insight into the upcoming game:
Lead humanity’s greatest weapon, the Grey Knights, in this fast-paced turn-based tactical RPG. Root out and purge a galaxy-spanning plague in a cinematic, story-driven campaign, using the tactics and talents of your own personalised squad of Daemonhunters.
The trailer opens with a Grey Knight getting ready for combat and praying.
After dispatching some Poxwalkers, he smashes through a wall then bullies a bunch of Nurglings.
The Grey Knights really look like they have their work cut out for them! Let’s hope four is enough to dispatch that many Daemons and a giant Great Unclean One. That’s about all we know for now, but keep your eyes peeled for more reveals coming soon!
