TTS Comes Back for 2 Episodes & Quits Again

By Rob Baer | August 9th, 2021 | Categories: Editorials, Videos, Warhammer 40k, Warhammer 40k Rumors

TTS Episode feature rAfter a tumultuous last 2 weeks, TTS came back with two more episodes and then seemed to call it quits for Warhammer content once again.

If you haven’t been following the issues of the past few weeks here’s a quick overview. First off, People were very upset over the GW and the new IP rules, which put a zero-tolerance policy on animators with the launch of Warhammer + coming soon.

After hearing the zero-tolerance policy, TTS decided to call it quits last week because they didn’t want to deal with the legal ramifications. They just put out two more videos (of three) and that is sorta how the last arc was going to conclude anyways.

They do also say this isn’t the end per se, and they are looking to pivot the channel’s composition, just away from Warhammer. Because of the massive support of Patreon, they will continue with the content. Even if you don’t support there, they will be posting what’s being worked on for free.

TTS Comes Back for 2 Episodes and Quits Again

TTS EpisodeSo first up, they put this new disclaimer on the video. Which in itself is a parody and pretty funny in a way.

In the last episode they put up a cliffhanger that was supposed to end in another episode, but they did add a little resolution to the whole thing in the comments, check out their statement below:

This wasn’t, and isn’t, supposed to be the end. Just as a spoiler for what was supposed to come next so I don’t leave anyone suffering for however long; The third part will not be released despite it honestly being quite close to finished. It was meant to be released about a month after the release of this part but my son was born so I kind of had to take a break… But with the situation now, other than needing to focus on starting up new projects and the lack of motivation, it also, in a horrible way, felt kind of apt to end it here. Sorry.

If you want to read the full statement, check out the video here. We’re not sure what they will come out with next and if this is really the end of the 40k stuff. They do talk about pivoting to something new, so we’ll have to wait and see what it is.

Massive Patreon Backing & Moving Forward

TTS Episode 2They thought Patreon would fall off after the announcement last week, but their Patreon has soared to a crazy number and over $20k a month in support. It looks like people were voting with their hobby dollars and backing a project that they love.

We always support backing projects you love because, with more support, they can do more projects. Here’s what they had to say about moving forward:

If you want to see what will be worked on next, I will try to be very transparent about my working process and posting regular updated on Patreon (for free). Transparency is important. I don’t want this whole stunt to look like a grift for money. Honestly expected everything to drop across the board after this announcement due to sheer disinterest. I had made my peace with that. The fact that the Patreon instead fucking exploded has shocked and straight-up frightened me and it has made my need to perform scream like a giant bat.

So we’ll have to see what happens in the future, but it looks like the community is keeping the project going.
