Patrick’s winning guard list was led by the iconic Gaunt’s Ghosts, along with the recent poster boy Leontus.  The mounted Lord Solar gives a fantastic redeploy ability at the start of the game and a great stat line and benefits. The last HQ is a Command squad for some generally good bodies and some order output.

Patrick Cunningham 2

Battleline starts off with two units of Jungle Fighters for cheap bodies with bonuses on the charge, followed by a single Infantry squad for some more bodies and a mortar to boot.

Patrick Cunningham 3

Transports bring in two Chimeras for some good ranged weapons on cheap vehicles that can move a unit each on the early turns. Other sheets then follow that up with two Basilisks for more ranged-focused models with a little durability and mobility.

Patrick Cunningham 4

A single unit of Bullgryn brings more durable models; this time focused on closer combat and making a charge or two.

Patrick Cunningham 5

Tanks bring in three Rogal Dorns for their great weapons and durability, which have become iconic to guard lists since their release, especially after the current edition got underway! The list then closes out on three Scout Sentinels to round out points and add even more mobile models with decent ranged weapons to pepper enemies.
