Leagues of Votann, Chaos Space Marines, and Blood Angels made their way to the top of the BAO 2024; here are the best army lists from the event!
The tournament is over, and now we can look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies with our commentary on their selections.
Votann Win The Frontline Gaming BAO 2024: Top 40k Army Lists

3rd Place: Ruben Zhao – Blood Angels
2nd Place: Adam Dye – Chaos Space Marines
1st Place: Junior Aflleje– Leagues of Votann
Junior’s winning Votann list was led by an Iron-master to give a +1 hit on ranged attacks buff to their unit, and two Champions for great melee models that provide charge re-rolls.
Troops saw a single unit of Warriors for the Iron master to lead as a standard unit of ranged units. Three Sagitaurs provide armor with good ranged weapons that can also transport some units in the early turns.
Two units of Thunderkyn were included for some much-needed anti-armor shots, while Beserks are a dedicated melee unit. Additionally, two units of Hearthguard pair up with the champions for some great all-around durable models that can do well in any situation.
A Land Fortress is another transport with great weapons, while three Pioneers bring in extra mobility and ranged firepower.
There you have it: the top Warhammer 40k army lists from the BAO 2024 were ruled by Leagues of Votann, Chaos Space Marines, and Blood Angels.
Junior’s army, with its sturdy and well-balanced units, was able to take down even the toughest opponents once they got in range. Overall, these army lists provide valuable insights for aspiring and veteran Warhammer 40k players alike.
