Wargames Atlantic Einherjar: Unboxing

Wargames Atlantic site

Wargames Atlantic site 2Taking a look at Wargames Atlantic’s site, they have all kinds of cool sci-fi minis, but tons of historical stuff as well. They also distribute to tons of stores throughout the world, so if you want to support your local store as well as them, you may also be able pick these up from yours as well. You can find all of the stores that carry WGA on their easy to use the store finder.

einherjarThey are in the works of making their own Death Fields game, so you may also be able to use these for that soon as well! Either way you get 24 models for $35, so really hard to beat that!

Giant Spiders

Giant spidersThey also sent Rob a box of the giant spiders which are just really cool and can be used in a ton of games! Rob also unboxes these to see how they look!

Giant Spider SpruesAll the bits look really detailed for these and are just really fun. They even give you some guns if you want to throw these in your sci-fi games as some cool alternatives. And for the price, like we said already, you can’t really go wrong.

Giant spiders 2

Giant spiders 3Once built they look great. They are a bit fiddly, but anything with six legs is bound to be. But overall not too bad, just a little annoying at times. They also look pretty sweet with a gun! Just to note, the bigger spiders fit on a 50mm base, and the smaller stance ones can be on a 40mm.

Giant spiders 4This would be a fun little fight to create!

Einherjar

einherjar 3The box has a really cool story on the back about how they are plucked the warriors from Earth and are taken to a literal Valhalla!

einherjar spruesYou get all kinds of bits in this kit and they just make such amazing alternative minis. Come on, 24 minis for $35 is almost unheard of now! They also give you all kinds of options like flamers, comms, grenade launcher, and a ton more.

einherjar 4You can see they have great detail when put together! The torsos are also pre-assembled so building these are super easy. For basically $1.50 a mini they are an amazing value. The only thing is, they don’t come with bases, but most people have tons of those laying around, or you can get a whole bunch for super cheap in bundles online.

einherjar 5The squad leader is also great looking and just a really cool figure with his armaments!

einherjar sizeThese are perfectly sized to be squats! But you may have to make some different rules if you’re playing these in 40k like maybe they are double the height so no one gets all the feels bad when they can’t see them anywhere…

einherjar size 2Obviously, the Primaris makes them look tiny! But that’s as it should be.

That does is for the mins today! They are really affordable and look awesome. It’s hard to find 24 minis for $35 dollars anywhere else and are really the only plastic squats out there. If you want to keep Squats alive, get these minis!
