Note: 2nd and 1st are switched, 2nd place has more points AND four perfect 100-point rounds!
3rd Place: Tucker Rickey – Genestealer Cult
2nd Place: Colin Kay – Black Templars
1st Place: Cody Jiru – Drukhari
Cody’s winning Drukhari wereled by two Archons for wound rerolls, three Beastmasters for hit rerolls, and Drazhar for a strong named character.
A single unit of Kabalite Warriors is a standard troop option, while only a Raider and Venom are options to help transport them and put out some ranged shots.
A Court of the Archon adds four solid units with a mix of melee and mid-range power, followed by two Cronos for pain token regeneration and another set of mid-range/melee versatile models. On the other hand, two Incubi units are melee dedicated threats that just want to make a charge.
Two units of Mandrakes are more versatile models, this time with a great redeploy ability. Then, two units of Scourges add in some anti-armor shots.
A single Talos added more ranged-dedicated models with a bit longer reach, while a Tantalus follows that trend and has a huge 36″ range gun with 12 shots!
Cody’s winning Drukhari army seems to be a well-balanced force that combines tough melee units with versatile mid-range models. With a range of strengths and abilities that avoid units with clear weaknesses, this army is a formidable force on the battlefield and always seems to have options for the pilot.
