The Full Warhammer+ Day One Lineup & More Technical Issues…

Warhammer + plus announcementThe Warhammer+ day one lineup is here as GW fills hobbyists in on all the details, but more technical issues arise.

For whatever reason basically, every app they have released has been plagued with technical difficulties as of late. Just like with the 40k app, we want this to work because it could have value, good content, and make things easier.

So let’s hope this is just some day-one jitters they can get out quickly, as it does look like some things have started working.

Warhammer Community also released the lineup for what shows, animations, and vault content. The voucher details seem to have been figured out as well.  Let’s check out how it’s working and the lineup.

Warhammer+ Day One Lineup & More Issues

warhammer+The lineup is decent, there aren’t a ton of animations (4 eps right now), but we didn’t expect there to be too much more than this. The vault already has a decent amount of stuff to read through considering it has every 2020 WD and more.

Regular extra bonuses and offers are planned for subscribers, and the first is available today. If you start your subscription before the 31st of August and remain subscribed until the 30th of September, we’ll send you a voucher worth £10 (or the local equivalent) to use at Games-Workshop.com.

Plus, you get to select your mini and if you keep the app for a month you get a £10 voucher, which they say will be given in equal value to local currency.  Lastly, you get access to the 40k army builder app and hopefully the AoS one soon.

How the App is Actually Working

Unfortunately, as of right now the site (not the app) doesn’t seem to be working well and you pretty much have to do everything through the app, which is a little buggy. figure gwSo let’s start with what worked, picking your mini. When you log in you can pick which one you want, but then the issues already start.nurglings gwWhen we tried to use the website, not much went our way. There seem to be many Nurglings in the system mucking things up.

access denied by GwThen even though we were signed in, there were some videos denied by GW from the site as well. So looks like the app is the only place to use anything as of right now. So again, a few bugs are still to be found as we had hoped the 40k app taught them a lesson to not release these apps until they are actually ready.

The Warhammer app however works great so far to access the content.

Bugs Worked Out

Aside from some hiccups, and janky UI issues on launch day, the Warhammer TV site works relatively well. As of day two, the login issues seem to be taken care of (mileage may vary).

The one glaring issue still on the site is the video player itself. This overlay UI is for toggling to the next episode, but it sometimes fades out as intended, and sometimes stays there no matter what. This UI also doesn’t have a fullscreen button.

To even access the video player controls, you have to right-click to open the windows dropdown and select <show controls>. Even after that, the controls are under the overlay UI!

Vote With Your Hobby Dollars

oof gwThe video they released has, not surprisingly, been panned pretty hard by the YouTube community, who are the most upset over this whole thing.

Still, as we like to say, vote with your hobby dollars! If it has value to you then support it, if not, then there will always be something new soon!
