GW’s latest Warhammer rumor engine preview could be their best KISS impression, new Chaos Defiler or perhaps this is a build-up for the Slannesh update in 40k?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed. Let’s take a look and try to guess until then!
Rumor Engine: January 7th, 2025
This daemonic amulet might have an unusually long tongue like the lead singer from KISS, but not so unusually, it is clearly for Chaos! It’s most likely going to be a human holding this, meaning Emperor’s Children in 40k for their upcoming update or generic chaos in AoS is the most likely!
Daemon engines are also an exciting possibility because who wouldn’t want a new defiler or new walker like this teaser?
Picking a specific model might be super hard, but all we need to do is imagine nearly any Chaos model holding or wearing this engine bit! The lord above has a similar skull randomly placed on his abdomen; this newer daemonic sigil could be the same idea!
Anything from a generic lord to a troop, to a brand new Slannesh-based Emperors’ Children model is on the table here!
For reference on the Daemon engine possibility, the current Defiler has a similar circular crest sporting a very daemonic face on it as well! Still, though… who knows? Curve balls happen, and specialist games usually get some super unique models. We will have to wait and see!
